The objective was to create crumpled GRC panels on the façade and soffit, with all panels joining up to create one large crumpled paper look. The project required riveting 20, 2.4 x 1.2, aluminium sheets together to cover the entire front, side and soffit. The aluminium was stamped on, rolled up and dented with timbers and hammers. Fiberglass moulds were taken from the aluminium and used to make the GRC panels. The result is a spectacular façade which is the centerpiece of this striking building.
